“EVE 2020”
Their future is clear, electrics are here to stay.
Hybrids will take charge.

I wrote the words above 10 years ago when I was relatively new to the world of design and was so enthralled with the promise of alternative energy merging with automotive technology that much of my first online portfolio was dedicated to this mindset, almost obsessively so.
The Prius had yet to become the successful manifestation it is today but little did I know how much of an impact hybrids would have.
In the time that has passed since 2002 I can’t help but to think the future is catching up with everything I had only imagined.
That, to me, is a beautiful thing to have realized. But now I guess I have to do some more forward-thinking. Who knows what things will be like 10 or even 5 years from today!

“Commuter Cars Corporation - Tango 2020”
This is a rendering I did for my favorite electric car.
As 90% of commuters drive alone to work in a car capable of carrying 4 to 5 people, that extra space, multiplied a million times over, adds up to wasted space on our highways and, ultimately, where the drivers have to park their cars.
One Tango can carry 2 people (driver + passenger). Four Tangos equates to 8 total people and is also the same amount of Tangos that can fit one parking space.
Thus, one parking space accommodating 4 Tangos can bring twice as many people to an urban area as a conventional vehicle with 1 driver + 3 passengers. This would help to eliminate spending to build more parking garages where that money could instead go to education or some other humanitarian needs.
What I love about the Tango is that seeks to address this issue in addition to helping reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
The concepts presented here is represent some forward-thinking ideas based off of existing technologies.

“J2 Graffiti Valentine”
So, last year, my #1 redhead would bug me to make her a graffiti sketch similar to what I’ve been doing for my Tumblr name.
I just finished this last night but was kind of thinking I could also add some poem to the empty white space. Or I could just leave it as is…if I get inspired to write her something I can always add it later.
Hope everyone else has a great day today too!
